SPRINGFIELD, IL -- The Illinois Department of Transportation is seeking consultants for 34 highway projects across the state. Consultants will be selected on May 21.

The projects are:

1. COOK, construction inspection for embankment and four structures on I-80/94 from IL 394 to US 41.




2. COOK, construction inspection for roadway and interchange work on I-80/94 from IL 394 to US 41.




3. COOK, construction inspection for structure, roadway, and lighting surveillance work on I-80-94 from IL 394 to US 41.




4. DISTRICT 1, subsurface utility engineering on various projects throughout the district.

6. COOK, land surveys along IL 21 from north of Sanders Rd. to south of Euclid Ave.




7. DISTRICT 1, land surveys at various locations throughout the district.




8. DISTRICT 1, drainage studies and hydraulic reports for various locations throughout the district.




9. DISTRICT 1, geotechnical reports for various locations throughout the district.




10. DISTRICT 1, land surveys at various locations throughout the district.




11. LAKE, preliminary engineering and environmental studies from IL 60 and I-94.




12. DISTRICT 2, land surveys at various locations throughout the district.




13. DISTRICT 2, land and route surveys for various locations throughout the district.




14. DISTRICT 4, land and route surveys throughout the eastern portion of the district.




15. DISTRICT 4, land and route surveys throughout the western portion of the district.




16. McDONOUGH, construction inspection for the 4-lane construction of US 136 from west of TR 226 to CH 18 west of Macomb.




17. KNOX, construction inspection for roadway and bridge work on IL 41 just south of Galesburg.




18. DeWITT & PIATT, construction inspection for 13.5 miles of patching and resurfacing on IL 10 from IL 48 at Weldon to west of I-72.




19. MACON & MOULTRIE, construction inspection for resurfacing 22 miles of US 36 from Maryland St. east of Decatur to the Douglas County line.




20. DISTRICT 5, construction inspection for various contracts throughout the district.




21. DISTRICT 5, Phase I and/or Phase II work on various projects throughout the district.




22. CHAMPAIGN, construction inspection for 7 miles of resurfacing on IL 130 from Madison St. in Philo to US 150 in Urbana.

30. WILLIAMSON & JACKSON, feasibility report for future improvements the IL 13 corridor between Marion and Murphysboro.




31. STATEWIDE, quality assurance/control for various airport improvement projects throughout the state.




32. STATEWIDE, prepare plans for various bridge projects throughout the state.




33. STATEWIDE, evaluation of aluminum highway sign truss design details and review of traffic structures standards.




34. STATEWIDE, investigate select LRFD design factors through instrumentation of bridge bearings.
