ROCKFORD, IL -- The Illinois Department of Transportation will hold an informational meeting in Rockford on April 2 to discuss the improvement of Illinois 2.

The informational meeting will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, at Faith Center Church, 4700 S. Main Street, in Rockford. The public is invited to attend at any time during the meeting hours.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss proposed improvements to IL 2 and receive public input on the proposal. The project includes improvements of IL 2 (South Main Street) from south of Beltline Road to Cedar Street in Rockford.

Maps, displays, and other project information will be available at the meeting for public review, and IDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
