SCHAUMBURG -- The bridge rehabilitation, widening
and resurfacing of 127th Street (Burr Oak Avenue) from Artesian
Avenue to Paulina Street and 127th Street (Burr Oak Avenue) over the
METRA/Iowa Interstate Railroad in the communities of Blue Island and
Calumet Park is underway.
The $9.6 million project is scheduled for completion
by middle of November 2004. One lane of traffic will be maintained
in each direction during construction.
The contractor is D Construction of Coal City.
