SPRINGFIELD , IL -- The Illinois Department of Transportation is seeking consultants for 6 highway projects across the state. Pre-qualified consultants will be selected on March 17, 2004 . Statements of interest are due February 11, 2004.

The projects are:

1. ROCK ISLAND COUNTY , engineering services for preparing land acquisition services for IL 5 ( John Deere Road ), in Moline.

2. JEFFERSON COUNTY , engineering services for the Western expansion of Veterans Memorial Drive in Mt. Vernon.

3. DISTRICT 8, engineering services for proposed new regional transportation facility in the southwestern Illinois known as the Gateway Connector.

4. JERSEY COUNTY , engineering services for the preparation of contract plans for the construction of the Jerseyville bypass.

5. WASHINGTON COUNTY , engineering services for widening IL 127 in Nashville.

6. MONROE COUNTY , engineering services for the addition of new lanes along IL 3 to create a five-lane roadway in Waterloo.
