OGLE COUNTY, IL -- The Illinois Department of Transportation will hold an informational open house in Oregon on August 27 to discuss the proposed improvement of Illinois 2 in Ogle County.

The open house will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27, at the Ruby Nash Recreation Center, 304 S. 5th Street, in Oregon. The public is invited to attend at any time during the meeting hours. There will be no formal presentation.

The purpose of the open house is to discuss plans for the proposed improvement of IL 2 from Oregon to Byron and to receive public input on the plans. The project includes resurfacing the highway, shoulder reconstruction, and drainage work.

Maps and displays will be available for public review and IDOT personnel will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
