JO DAVIESS / STEPHENSON COUNTIES -- The Illinois Department of Transportation
will hold two public hearings on June 25 and June 26 to discuss
the proposed corridor for a four-lane US 20 from Galena to Freeport.
The public hearings are scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. at the following
locations:
June 25, Wednesday June 26, Thursday
Highland Community College Galena Convention Center
Newell Room H-201 900 Galena Square Drive
2998 West Pearl City Road Galena, IL
Freeport, IL
The purpose of the hearings is to view information regarding the
preferred highway alignment from IL 84 northwest of Galena to US
Bus. 20 northwest of Freeport, and to receive public input on the
proposal. Both meetings will be identical.
The public is invited to attend at any time during the hearing
hours. Exhibits and displays will be available for public review
and representatives from IDOT will be available to discuss the project.
A slide show summarizing the status of the project will be shown
throughout the hearing hours.
The hearing rooms are accessible to individuals with disabilities.
