LIVINGSTON COUNTY, IL -- The Illinois Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing in Saunemin on January 22, 2003 to discuss proposed improvements to Illinois 116.
The public hearing will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, at the Saunemin Community Hall, 70 North Street, in Saunemin. The public is invited to attend at any time during the hearing hours.
The purpose of the public hearing is to discuss the Department's plans for the improvement of IL 116 from IL 47 east to Maple Street, and to get the public's input on the proposal. The project will include widening IL 116 (Main Street) to a 30 foot wide pavement with curb and gutter. Also included are storm sewers, ADA sidewalk ramps at intersections, and extension or replacement of all culverts and drainage structures.
There will be no formal presentation, but IDOT personnel will be available to discuss the project and answer questions. Exhibits, maps, and plans will also be available for public review.
