Introduction
The FY 2012-2015 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP)
is a four-year summary program of highway and transit projects developed to
fulfill the requirements set forth in the Intermodal Surface Transportation
Efficiency Act of 1991 (ISTEA) and its successors the Transportation Equity Act
for the 21st Century (TEA-21) and the Safe Accountable Flexible & Efficient
Transportation Equity Act– Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU).
The FY 2012-2015
STIP totals $22.273 billion with $8.709 billion for highway improvements and
$13.564 billion for transit capital improvements and operating assistance.
