Land Acquisition Policy Procedure Manual and Revisions

Revisions are made by the Bureau of Land Acquisition to implement changes in procedures and policies, the changes are then updated in the Land Acquisition Policies and Procedures Manual.

Chapter 1, Section 1.1.5.2 – “on new corridor projects or after public involvement has occurred” was added and “for the project is obtained” was deleted in the first sentence of the third paragraph.
Chapter 1, Section 1.6.1 “General”-Last sentence of third paragraph changed to, “A specialist must be on an approved list prior to receiving assignments.”
Chapter 1, Section 1.6.4 “Waiver Valuations”-First sentence changed to, “A waiver valuation can only be completed by an employee of the Illinois Department of Transportation or an employee of a County”.

Chapter 7, Section 7.3.1 – “A copy of the closing statement and designation of funds or receipt of deed” was changed to “A copy of the Receipt and Disbursement Statement”., “One copy of an affidavit disclosing the owner’s beneficial interest in a trust” was deleted.
“Affidavit of Title” was changed to “Affidavit of Title, including the disclosure of the owners of beneficial interest of any entity.”
The following statement was deleted from Appendix A, definition of Right of Way, “for which the jurisdiction, maintenance, administration, engineering or improvement of any highway situated thereon has been contracted by the department to any other highway authority.”
Appendix A – Multiple definitions were added.
