Omer Osman
began his tenure with IDOT in June of 1989 as a Planner/Designer. Prior to working in the capacity as a Resident Engineer, Senior Resident Engineer, Supervising field Engineer and a Construction Engineer. He currently maintains the post of the Acting Operations Engineer for District 4, Bureau of Operations in Peoria, Illinois.
Omer is recognized for his participation in IDOT’s Civil
Engineering Recruitment Program and his volunteer service and
community outreach initiatives. While attending Al – Mupamar
High School in Khartoum, Sudan, he was a member of Clean

Byrd
is a Civil Engineer at the Illinois Department of Transportation
(IDOT). She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
Technology from Western Illinois University and a Bachelor of
Science degree in Civil Engineering from Southern Illinois
University at Edwardsville. She began her career with IDOT
in January of 1991 as an Engineer Technician. She currently
holds the post of the Acting Utilities Engineer for District 8,
Project Support Section in Collinsville, Illinois.
