IMPORTANT NEWS FOR ALL ILLINOIS ARRA CONTRACTORS/CONSULTANTS
The implementation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) is off to a fantastic start in Illinois! Thousands of new jobs have been created thanks to the efforts of Illinois construction contractors and engineering consultants! The primary objective of ARRA is to put America back to work and that is happening all across the state of Illinois due to your hard work.
Another important objective of ARRA is accountability. In order to accomplish this objective, Section 1512 of ARRA requires that prime recipients submit quarterly progress reports for all projects utilizing ARRA funds beginning in October of 2009. As a prime recipient of ARRA funds, the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) successfully submitted the first quarterly report on October 10, 2009. Subsequent reports are required to be submitted on a quarterly basis until 2012. The report must include all work completed through the end of the reporting quarter.
In order to submit the necessary ARRA 1512 reports in a timely manner, we will need all ARRA Vendors to submit jobs creation/retention data within the following timeframes:
