First Public Information Meeting
The study’s first public informational meeting was held May 3, 2012
from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Alton High School Commons, and was
attended by 85 people.
The meeting was held in an open house format. IDOT
and their consultant team members discussed the study with meeting
attendees and answered questions. Those in attendance
were able to view display boards, maps, and other material
that showed current traffic, crash, land use, and environmental data;
explained the public involvement and environmental study processes; and
asked for volunteers for the study’s Community Advisory Group (CAG).

Meeting attendees were provided with comment forms and asked to
provide their input on transportation issues that should be considered
by the study team . You are welcome to provide your comments to IDOT
regarding the study by printing and mailing the form below. Comments
should be mailed by May 17, 2012 for consideration by the study team.
Following this comment period, a summary of comments received will be
prepared and posted on this page.
