Project Timeline
The Department anticipates that the Phase 1 preliminary engineering study will be completed in 2013. At this time however, funding is only available to replace the four structures carrying the US 20 Bypass over the Rock River and the 20th Street bridge over the bypass. Construction of these bridges is included in the Department’s multi-year plan, although no definitive letting date has been identified. Additional funding is needed before the Department can advance to the detailed design phase for the interchanges and the proposed additional lanes. As such, a construction schedule is currently not available for these proposed improvements.
